Anthropology of the Gardener

Embroidered moss series,

objects found in the garden
Embroidery, variable dimensions, 2025

Reconnecting with one's garden is quite a story in itself. Unfinished the last time it was left, it is good to recall that special moment, sometimes in the early morning before sunrise: “the plants have had all night to forget my presence. Like them, I turn eastward and look at the sky. Every morning, I witness the birth of the world.”

This chronic reunion, tinged with a mixture of anxiety and curiosity, is how the gardener's day begins, by reestablishing visual contact with a new poetry set in his garden.

Objects gleaned over 10 years in the garden or at his doorstep. Brought by the wind and everyday urban life. Surprises and discoveries.
